  • To help students and other Library users become lifelong learners.

  • To encourage scientific research.

Organization Structure LRC

The Institution will provide sufficient teaching and learning resources for the effective and successful delivery of academic programs in accordance with its vision and mission. The Institution will ensure that teaching and learning resources balance the need to provide challenging and engaging learning programs for students with the need for responsible management of available financial resources and the use of materials that do not offend students and the wider community due to their controversial nature.

Teaching and learning resources are defined as texts, videos, software, and other materials that staff use to assist students to meet the expectations for learning defined by the curriculum. These include, but are not restricted to:

·        Textbooks;

·        Reference Books;

·        Audio and visual recordings;

·        Multimedia;

·        Digital learning resources including video, audio, text, animations, and images;

·        Journals and periodicals (accessed online or via hardcopy);

·        Lectures and speeches.

Use of Computing Facilities

LRD users are bound to use the computing facilities in accordance with the policies, procedures and guidelines of the RCJY Information Technology Department. The use of these computers for illegal and commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. Users are not allowed to install any software or use the external drive on the LRD computers.

Library Codes of Use

The Institution is committed to providing a conducive library environment. Pursuant to this, codes of use outlining the rules and requirements for library users will be posted in all libraries. All users are required to follow said codes. The LRD reserves the right to remove and prohibit future entry to any user who does not follow the posted codes.
