ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

The CSD program are designed to prepare trainee for a career as Industrial Process Plant Operators (IPPO) and Industrial Chemical Lab Technician (ICLT). Trainees learn important hands-on skills and develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to solve problems encountered by Operator and lab technicians in industry. These programs are accredited by City and Guilds.

1.      Industrial Process Plant Operator (IPPO)

The IPPO program prepares trainees to become refinery, chemical and related industry operator. Process technicians work with the latest computer control systems, monitor equipment, and solve problems in a collaborative environment. This program provides knowledge and skills in the fundamental principles of process technology as applied in the oil and gas industry.

2.      Industrial chemical lab technician (ICLT)

This program is focused to provide the Lab technicians the skills of responsibility for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance. Under the supervision of chemists and other team members, they perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions. They also conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
